About This Role
The Facilities & Utilities Manager leads the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of facilities and utilities for the Fort Worth Plant while serving as the U.S. Subject Matter Expert (SME) and governance leader for all U.S. HVAC manufacturing sites.
In Fort Worth, this role has direct line management and operational ownership, leading permanent facilities employees and third-party service partners (JLL) to execute daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, infrastructure reliability, site-support requirements, and site budget management. The Manager owns facility and utility readiness for Fort Worth equipment installation, validation, commissioning, production launch, and ongoing operations.
In an extended U.S. scope focused specifically on U.S. HVAC plants, this position acts as an internal consultant and SME. You will establish and oversee governance, compliance, technical standards, and performance metrics across these facilities, providing technical oversight and guidance on major projects and infrastructure initiatives. While local plant teams retain day-to-day execution accountability and site budget management, you will drive standardization, recommend CapEx requirements, and ensure alignment across the U.S. HVAC footprint.
Key Responsibilities: Fort Worth Plant Operational Management & Ownership
- Direct Operations & Budget: Hold full operational and budget responsibility for the Fort Worth facility, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective support for manufacturing operations and business continuity.
- Team & Vendor Management: Direct, manage, and hold accountable permanent Fort Worth facilities personnel and outsourced integrated facilities partners (JLL). Oversee staffing, work-order execution, preventive/corrective maintenance, emergency response, service levels, response times, cost and invoice control, and vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
- Critical Utilities & Infrastructure: Own the integrity, capacity, availability, commissioning, and documented acceptance of Fort Worth critical utilities—including electrical power, water, gas, compressed air, HVAC, process cooling, fire protection, and other infrastructure required for production launch and ongoing operations.
- Site Governance & Handover: Establish operating routines, KPIs, audits, and risk assessments for Fort Worth. Ensure commissioning, capacity validation, punch-list closure, as-built drawings, warranties, operating manuals, asset records, and formal operational handovers are completed.
U.S. Project & CapEx Execution
- Project Lifecycle Leadership: Lead U.S. construction, expansion, renovation, and utility projects through design review, constructability, sourcing, execution, commissioning, acceptance, and handover. Own the master schedule, milestones, cost forecast, budget variances, project risks, contractor safety and performance, change orders, punch lists, acceptance criteria, and closeout documentation to ensure projects are completed on time and in accordance with agreed scope, technical requirements, budget, quality, safety, and compliance commitments.
