Skills
Must have
- At least 5 years of backend software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python (or similar)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful and/or gRPC APIs, microservices, and database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Strong on integration work: APIs, data modeling, authentication, moving data between systems and organisations
- Experience designing for reliability, performance, and security in production environments
- Fluency with AI coding tools and a track record of using them to materially raise output and code quality
- Experience building with LLMs and/or agent frameworks (tool use, function calling, MCP, evals) or strong interest and aptitude to ramp up quickly

The Role
In this role, you will design and build the backend systems that power Arta's B2B wealth platform — the infrastructure banks and financial platforms use to deliver institutional-grade investment products to their clients. You'll own services end-to-end, from API design to data models to production reliability, working extensively with AI coding agents and LLM-based tooling to ship faster and operate at higher leverage than a traditional backend team.
You'll be embedded with a partner, working alongside their engineers and inside the systems and constraints they already run, and you'll own a partner integration from early design through to production. You will be a technical contact for the partner's engineering and product teams — the person they work with day to day on design questions, debugging across the system boundary, and getting the integration to production.
