Freelance DevOps and Platform Engineer - Hybrid - Long Term - Logistics Sector
We are seeking an experienced Freelance DevOps & Platform Engineer to support a large-scale transformation programme focused on modernising infrastructure, improving automation, and establishing scalable cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud and platform infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate manual operational processes and improve platform efficiency.
- Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable.
- Monitor platform performance, reliability, and availability, driving continuous improvement.
- Contribute to cloud migration, platform transformation, and infrastructure optimisation projects.
Experience
- Strong commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
- Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience working within cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
