Objective of job
The Software Engineering team (PT/TSCT) designs, builds and operates in-house digital applications for Mercedes-Benz China and drives the AI-enabled software delivery model for Tech China. The Full Stack Developer is a senior individual contributor in this team, responsible for the assigned in-house applications (e.g. OneWeb, MiniProgram and OCC)\: web and mini-program front ends, back-end services, data layer, and the associated test and deployment pipelines.
The Full Stack Developer designs and implements features end to end within the agreed target architecture and team standards – solution design, object and data modelling, programming, automated testing, release and implementation support – working as an individual or in a pair in an agile, cross-functional team with product owners, architects and DevOps.
The role develops rapid prototypes so that ideas can be tested and improved in short iterations, and applies the team’s approved AI-assisted engineering tools and practices while remaining fully accountable for the quality, security and maintainability of the code delivered. Solid experience in incremental and iterative software development (e.g. Domain-Driven Design, Extreme Programming, rapid prototyping) is expected.
