Location: - Hampshire ( 5 days per week)
At DXC Technology, we are committed to building diverse and inclusive teams where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from women, underrepresented groups, and neurodivergent candidates. We are happy to provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and are committed to creating an accessible and supportive environment for all.
Due to the nature of the work and the customers we support, successful candidates must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency requirements, and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Certain roles may also be subject to nationality restrictions where required to meet Government or contractual obligations.
DXC Technology is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join a secure, multi-supplier Ministry of Defence (MOD) programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative SAFe Agile environment, developing secure, resilient applications that support critical defence operations.
Working as part of a cross-functional DevSecOps team, you will design, build, test, and maintain modern applications while ensuring compliance with security, quality, and operational standards. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, System Architects, Scrum Masters, security specialists, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, from database layer through to user interface.
- Deliver secure, resilient software solutions that meet defence performance, availability, and security requirements.
- Apply Secure by Design principles throughout the software development lifecycle, including threat modelling, vulnerability management, dependency management, and security assurance.
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and integrations with modern and legacy systems.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps best practices, containerisation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to Programme Increment objectives within a SAFe delivery framework.
- Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Implement automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and security testing.
