Fullstack Ruby on Rails / Vue.js engineer (Remote)

Commslayer is a SaaS company looking for a full-stack Ruby on Rails engineer to help expand an existing SaaS product with new features. Commslayer is a helpdesk tailored for ecommerce merchants who use Shopify and provides ticketing through various channels with advanced AI automation. Our team consists of 5 people, two of which are located in Indonesia and available to talk about their experience working Commslayer.

The company was started by two serial entrepreneurs who previously exited their bootstrapped Saas-company. We are looking for a frontend-focused Rails engineer in Indonesia who:**

• has a track record of shipping web apps in Ruby on Rails in the last 3+ years
• has experience with Vue.js and likes frontend work
• can take a product product spec and make decisions on their own - we like devs who are not afraid to make product decisions
• humble, can mentor others, both provide and receive direction and is always willing to share what they learn
• Is willing to work in the evenings for min. 2 days per week (our CTO is located in US, Boston)

What you will do:

• Build new exciting features to the helpdesk platform and chat product (while iterating based on user feedback)

Where we are and how we work:

• We are a remote team all over the globe but our development team is mainly working during Western European working hours. We expect you to be able to do at least 2 evening shifts per week.
• We provide extreme flexibility but it also means ownership: you own the results of your work
• Our work language is English
• We are used to async communication over Slack but also have regular weekly meetings to sync up.
• Our tech stack is Ruby / Vue.js / Tailwind / SQL / Git
• We optimize for developer happiness. For us, this is not a sprint but a marathon.

Location

Indonesia. We've two team members located in Indonesia and are looking to expand our team in the area. This is a remote, work-from-home opportunity. You need to be willing to do a night shift from time to time as our CTO is in Boston, US.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is USD 2000-2600 per month with paid time off ($24,000-$31,000 annually). The compensation varies with experience and skill set. This is a full-time position: you will be employed through Remote.com as a contractor.
