Full description
Jobrapido is seeking a skilled C++ Developer to contribute to the development and support of high-quality software. This remote opportunity is suited to an engineer with experience in game development or related client and engine environments, a strong foundation in modern C++, and the judgment to work effectively in a large, established codebase.
About The Company
Jobrapido connects people with employment opportunities and supports organizations in reaching prospective candidates. Our work depends on reliable, well-designed technology and a commitment to making digital experiences useful and accessible. We value collaboration, initiative, and continuous learning, and we encourage our people to bring their knowledge and perspectives to solving meaningful technical challenges.
At Jobrapido, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals, build your technical skills, and contribute to software that serves users. We aim to foster an inclusive, partnership-oriented culture where people can share ideas, learn from one another, and do their best work.
About The Role
As a C++ Developer, you will build, maintain, and improve user-facing software in a mature product environment. You will investigate issues across application state, local storage, network or service responses, content metadata, and platform-specific behavior. The role calls for an engineer who can take ownership from initial investigation through implementation, validation, and resolution, while balancing reliability, performance, accessibility, and usability.
This is a remote position. The expected annual salary range is $80,000–$90,000. Actual compensation may vary based on geography and market factors, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have professional experience delivering production software in modern C++, with C++20 preferred and C++14 as the minimum. You should bring professional game-development experience or closely related experience working on a game client, engine, or comparable interactive software. Experience debugging and maintaining a large, mature codebase is important.
You will also bring a track record of delivering user-facing functionality with care for performance, reliability, accessibility, and usability. The role requires the ability to reason across application layers and identify the causes of complex defects. Strong ownership, sound problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication are essential. You should be comfortable collaborating with engineering colleagues and partners from non-engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and maintain software features using C++ within an established product codebase. Investigate and resolve defects that may involve user-interface state, local data, service or network behavior, content metadata, and differences between platforms. Review existing code to understand system behavior, identify risks, and make changes that are maintainable and appropriate for the product.
