General Manager (Tyrone, GA)

General Manager

Red Deer Capital builds and advises traditional-economy businesses that need capital, strategy, and operational discipline to scale. As General Manager you will own day-to-day execution and growth so our principals can focus on deals. This role turns a lean advisory shop into a repeatable, profitable platform that delivers measurable value to owners and investors.

Performance Objectives

• Grow annual recurring advisory and investment-management revenue 40% within 18 months by converting at least eight qualified traditional-economy clients.

• Stand up a repeatable client-onboarding and reporting process that cuts time-to-first-value from 90 to 45 days and raises Net Promoter Score above 70.

• Build and manage a $1.2 M operating budget that delivers 25%+ EBITDA while funding two new service lines (capital-raise support and operational turnaround).

• Recruit, coach, and retain a core team of four (analyst, associate, operations coordinator, junior advisor) so utilization stays above 75% and voluntary turnover stays under 10%.

• Close or co-lead two principal investments or recapitalizations per year that generate 2.5x MOIC within 36 months.

• Implement a simple CRM-plus-pipeline system that gives partners weekly visibility on every live opportunity and forecast accuracy within 10%.

Environment & Resources

You report directly to the founding principals. The current team is three people; you will hire the next four. Tools include standard financial-modeling suites, a light CRM, and outsourced legal/accounting. You control the operating budget and have authority to engage specialists as needed. Work is hybrid with travel to client sites in resource, manufacturing, and agribusiness sectors.

Essential Qualifications

• 7+ years running P&L or client-delivery operations inside a boutique advisory, PE, or family-office environment serving traditional industries.

• Proven track record converting at least $2 M of new advisory or investment revenue in a similar small-firm setting.

• Hands-on experience building repeatable processes (onboarding, reporting, pipeline) that scaled a team from 3 to 8 without adding bureaucracy.

• Comfort owning a modest investment pipeline and co-underwriting deals alongside principals.

• Ability to hire and coach junior talent while remaining the primary client-facing operator.

Role Selling Points

• Direct equity participation in the firm’s carry and any new principal investments you originate.

• True general-manager autonomy—no layers, no politics—inside a 1-10 person firm that values speed over process.

• Exposure to real operating businesses in sectors that still run on cash flow, not hype.

• Opportunity to design the operating system that will define Red Deer Capital’s next decade.
