Geoscientist Researcher - Internship (6 months)

Viridien () is an advanced technology, digital and Earth data company that pushes the boundaries of science for a more prosperous and sustainable future. With our ingenuity, drive and deep curiosity we discover new insights, innovations, and solutions that efficiently and responsibly resolve complex natural resource, digital, energy transition and infrastructure challenges.

Job Summary

Viridien's Reservoir Research department works on better characterizing the subsurface for resource recovery, a well-established discipline where new technologies are now key to speeding up the integration of seismic information into reservoir models. This requires precise 3D modelling, advanced seismic imaging and well data to accurately quantify available resources.

Several seismic inversion methodologies can extract quantitative elastic attributes that provide reliable input for geological modelling. Depending on the seismic data available, Viridien runs various inversion algorithms: Elastic inversion, PP-PS inversion, Time-lapse (4D) inversion or Azimuthal inversion. Each with its own input data, parameters and QC to optimize within a user-friendly interface.
