We are currently looking for a Product Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia!
As a Global Product Controls Engineer, you will take ownership of the design and development of advanced control systems for mission-critical datacenter facilities, modular infrastructure projects and AI factories worldwide. You will lead the delivery of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and related automation solutions that ensure reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
The role combines engineering collaboration with Pre-Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop technical solutions, general design, network architecture, and system integration. You will develop control system solutions and BIM-based designs, producing engineering deliverables such as control schematics, I/O lists, network diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment specifications, and material submittals. You will also contribute to PLC software architecture, SCADA application development, industrial communication networks, and integration of third-party systems.
We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex, critical engineering challenges, continuously improving technology solutions, and working with modern automation platforms, virtualization technologies, industrial protocols, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Develop control system platforms, concepts, and detailed global engineering designs as required.
- Support product development activities, including conceptual and detailed design phases.
- Provide technical support to Pre-Sales, Offering, Marketing, and other engineering teams in the development of technical solutions.
- Participate in prototype development and project execution activities.
- Develop and manage engineering designs in Revit, including BMS architectures, control system block diagrams, floor plans, sections, I/O lists, and PLC/DDC platforms (CODESYS or equivalent).
- Prepare equipment and material specifications, as well as technical, presentation, and marketing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international, regional, and national standards (worldwide), company standards, and engineering best practices throughout the design process.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings, regular project team meetings, and coordination meetings.
- Report project status and progress to the Lead Engineer.
- Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary project teams throughout project execution.
