Full description
he Project Manager – Global Services NPDI, Power Acceleration is responsible for driving the timely execution and global service readiness of new product development and introduction (NPDI) initiatives across Vertiv's Power portfolio.
This role serves as the Global Services project management lead for assigned NPDI projects, ensuring that service requirements, operational readiness, technical documentation, training, service tools, and regional deployment activities are incorporated into the product development lifecycle and completed in alignment with program milestones.
Working in close partnership with Product Management, Engineering, NPDI Program Management, Global Services Technology, regional Services teams, Training, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders, the Project Manager ensures that Power product launches are supported by the necessary service capabilities to enable effective execution from launch through post-launch stabilization.
The role operates within the Global Services PMO governance framework, providing structured project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and escalation management. A key objective is to accelerate Power NPDI execution by identifying dependencies early, improving cross-functional coordination, standardizing service readiness deliverables, and ensuring regions are prepared to support new products at launch.
Key Responsibilities1. NPDI Project Execution and Acceleration
- Lead assigned Global Services workstreams across the Power NPDI portfolio, from project initiation through launch and post-launch stabilization.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans aligned with product development gates, critical milestones, dependencies, and launch dates.
- Coordinate service deliverables across functions to ensure readiness activities progress in parallel with product development.
- Identify schedule constraints, resource gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities to accelerate execution without compromising quality or service readiness.
- Drive accountability for deliverables, owners, predecessor activities, and completion dates.
- Maintain visibility into project status, critical-path activities, milestone adherence, and launch readiness.
2. Global Service Readiness
- Ensure service requirements are identified early and incorporated into NPDI plans based on product and service complexity.
- Coordinate the development and readiness of service deliverables, including:
- Service procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentation.
- Method of Procedure (MOP), troubleshooting guidance, and technical manuals, as applicable.
