Group Accountant (Consolidation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Group Accountant, ideally looking to transition straight from a reputable audit firm, to lead financial consolidation and manage the Singapore HQ's full-set accounts. Based in Singapore, this role is critical to coordinating cross-border reporting and ensuring statutory compliance across our Southeast Asian trading and distribution network. This position is open for an immediate start, making it an excellent opportunity for a dynamic auditor ready to step into a fast-paced commercial environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Consolidation: Lead the complex monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation of multi-currency Southeast Asian entities in compliance with SFRS.
• Full-Set Accounting: Manage the day-to-day full-set accounts, general ledger entries, and monthly closing activities for the Singapore HQ entity.
• Audit Alignment: Apply strong audit-trained methodologies to streamline intercompany reconciliations, regional transfer pricing, and foreign exchange variances.
• Statutory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, coordinating year-end group audits and managing regional corporate tax submissions.
• Management Reporting: Synthesize consolidated figures into actionable variance analyses and management reports for corporate executive review.
• Internal Controls: Evaluate and standardise regional internal workflows to improve the data integrity of our trading and distribution reporting cycles.

Job Requirements

• Professional Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent, with a professional CA, CPA, or ACCA qualification.
• Audit Background: Minimum 3–5 years of external audit experience (Big 4 or mid-tier) handling group audits, or a commercial role heavily focused on consolidation.
• Technical Mastery: Exceptional, hands-on mastery of complex group financial consolidation, multi-currency reporting, and SFRS/IFRS.
• Industry Adaptability: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to quickly adapt audit expertise to the logistics, pricing, and tax structures of a trading and distribution business.
• Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in advanced Excel modeling and corporate financial consolidation modules within major ERP systems.
• Availability:Immediate availability or a short notice period is highly preferred to facilitate an immediate start.
