Business Recruiter

About Vega

The $250B insurance claims industry runs on fax machines, phone tags, and adjusters buried in paperwork. Cycle times stretch for months. Data is locked in legacy systems. And the workforce is aging out faster than it's being replaced.

Vega is the premier AI-native claims TPA built to replace that entire stack. Our team is equal parts experienced insurance operators and modern technologists. We care deeply about delivering superior outcomes for our clients, and we want builders who get their hands dirty shipping solutions that move the needle.

Our results: 10x YoY revenue growth, and on track for $XXM run-rate in under 2 years. Backed by marquee VCs like General Catalyst and Valor.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Recruiter to own critical work across the business, from G&A to GTM and everything in between. This is an opportunity to shape how a category-defining, AI-native company builds and scales during a period of exceptional growth.

You’ll work across Finance, People, Operations, and Go-to-Market, partnering closely with our founder and leadership team on the projects that will shape Vega’s next stage of growth. We have strong momentum and early foundations in place. What we need is someone who can take that foundation and build the systems, playbooks, and operating rhythm that will scale with us.

We believe there’s real value in being together as a team. We come into the office 4 days per week, creating space to collaborate, move quickly, and build strong relationships with the people we work alongside.

What You'll Do

• Run full-cycle recruiting across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, People, and other teams: intake, sourcing, screening, closing, and everything in between.

• Partner with hiring managers to define what great looks like, calibrate on candidates, and keep every search moving.

• Build and maintain high-quality, diverse candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, referral cultivation, and market mapping.

• Manage competing priorities across multiple open requisitions while maintaining a high-touch candidate experience and meeting aggressive hiring timelines.

• Drive process improvement and operational excellence — identifying bottlenecks, implementing scalable workflows, and tracking recruiting metrics (e.g., pipeline health, time-to-fill, conversion rates, acceptance rates) to inform decisions.

• Help build the systems, processes, and recruiting infrastructure that will scale with our GTM organization

• Make every candidate interaction count — from first conversation through offer — and leave candidates excited about Vega and the opportunity to grow with us.

• Bring the Vega story to life for candidates and help us stand out in a competitive talent market.

What You Bring

• 4-7 years of full-cycle, in-house recruiting experience in fast-scaling SaaS or tech companies, with a strong track record hiring GTM & G&A

• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior hiring managers, influence decisions with data, and manage stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.

• You build, not just execute. You’ve created or meaningfully improved recruiting processes, tools, and programs and know how to make them scale.

• Proactive sourcing expertise. You know how to identify and engage high-caliber talent beyond the inbound applicant pool and referrals.

• A modern approach to recruiting. You’re curious about new technology and look for practical ways to use AI to improve how you source, assess, and engage talent.

• Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities. Experience as an early recruiting hire is a plus.

• Excitement to work from the NYC office 3-4 days a week and contribute to the office culture

• Nice to Have:

• Ideally fluency in our core stack: Ashby, Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Notion.
