About Skynopy

Skynopy is a space start-up located in the heart of Paris (33 rue du Louvre). At Skynopy, we connect satellites to Earth. We operate a global network of antennas (= ground stations) located in Patagonia, Alaska, Australia, etc., to allow satellites in orbit to communicate their data down to Earth.

In only three years, we have scaled at an unmatched speed:

• We have developed our network of more than 35 ground stations, controlled thanks to our fully digitalized and cloud native infrastructure

• We are operating our network every day for critical missions and established customers such as Airbus Defense & Space, and many Newspace companies in the US, India, Japan

• We have raised a total of 18M€ in less than 2 months cumulated

• We have grown a fully international team with more than 7 nationalities and two centers (Paris and Munich)

Now we need someone to make sure we scale.

This isn't a support function. This is the role that shapes how Skynopy structures its growth and becomes the world leader in the ground segment. Skynopy is an infrastructure-as-a-service company; scaling means thinking ahead financially and adopting a real financial engineering strategy to grow and capture the market's booming opportunities.

The need is now because:

• We are preparing a large (several tens of millions) financial operation (equity, public funding)

• We have announced the largest ground station network in the World in September 2026, in partnership with the European giant, Eutelsat, announced by the French President, Emmanuel Macron (see link below). This growth will require dedicated financial engineering

• We are structuring the company financially to multiply the growth of the network through innovative Special Purpose Vehicles

• We have a fast-growing commercial pipeline and unique opportunities that require financial engineering to be addressed properly

• We are growing the finance, admin, and HR team, looking for a manager

Mission

The Head of Finance owns Skynopy's financial trajectory: fund the network's growth with the least dilution possible, and give the CEO and the board the numbers to decide.

Reporting to the CEO, member of the leadership team, working closely with the board, the CTO and the ground station, business development and admin teams. Manages the Finance & Admin team (1 person today).

Fundraising & investor relations

Prepare and run the Series A with the CEO: business plan, equity story, KPIs, data room, due diligence. Run monthly investor reporting and board materials. Own the cap table and BSPCE plans.

Debt & project finance

Structure and negotiate venture debt and bank lines. Build the SPV for owned stations in French overseas territories with Banque des Territoires and co-investors, from term sheet to investment committee and closing.

Non-dilutive funding

Steer the public funding portfolio: Bpifrance and France 2030 programmes, CIR/CII, EU and ESA grants, export grants (FASEP). Prepare financial packages and cost justifications for ESA and EU bids. Secure the Global AKAR funding agreement.

FP&A & unit economics

Own the budget cycle, rolling forecast and cash plan. Build the unit-economics model per antenna, site and customer, and track cost per operated hour. Support pricing and deal reviews.

Accounting, tax & controls

Supervise accounting and closings with the external accountant, revenue recognition on milestone and recurring contracts, VAT and tax compliance, and audit. Set approval rules, procurement-to-payment controls and the finance processes of the ISO 9001 system.

International entities

Open and run the finance of foreign entities (Germany first): incorporation, banking, local accountants, transfer pricing and intra-group agreements, consolidation.

Tools & team

Run the finance stack (Odoo, Pennylane, Finthesis) and improve the already automated reporting. Manage and grow the Finance & Admin team.

• By month 6: Series A data room and equity story ready, Global AKAR funding agreement signed, non-dilutive pipeline mapped with owners and deadlines.

• By month 12: Series A closed, SPV financed, cost per operated hour falling quarter on quarter, finance processes ready for a second foreign entity.

• A role that grows with the company: a path to CFO through the Series A and the international roll-out, with full ownership of the financing strategy.

• Seat on the leadership team and direct exposure to the board.

• Paris, 33 rue du Louvre

• Start: as soon as possible.
