About Us:
Big Country Equipment is a BC-based heavy equipment repair and maintenance company that works with resource-based customers in the mining, construction, forestry, and oil and gas sectors across Canada. Founded in 2017, we have grown rapidly from a one-truck operation to a high-performing team of over 145 employees and a fleet of 40+ fully tooled service trucks. We are committed to supporting customers throughout Canada, providing 24/7 service, 365 days a year.
Big Country Equipment is hiring an experienced licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Equipment Technician) to perform field service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mining equipment, with a primary focus on Pit Viper and Sandvik drills. This is a rotational field-service opportunity working a 14-day-on, 14-day-off schedule. The successful technician will troubleshoot and repair surface drills and other off-road heavy equipment using company-provided tools while supporting customer operations safely and professionally. Licensed Truck and Transport Mechanics and Agricultural Equipment Technicians may also be considered if they have strong, relevant experience.
