HR Generalist | Mason, MISalary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

This posting covers HR Generalist opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Mason in Ingham County, within about 30 minutes of the city, including Williamston, Webberville, Leslie, and Fowlerville.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with multiple companies in the Mason area seeking experienced HR Generalists. These organizations value long-term fit and look for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Usual Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and HRIS data entry with accuracy and confidentiality.

• Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.

• Administer attendance tracking, leave of absence requests, and FMLA paperwork.

• Support safety program administration and incident reporting.

• Help prepare HR metrics and reports for plant leadership.

• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions about policies, benefits, and payroll.

• Support recruiting for hourly production and skilled trades roles, including screening and scheduling interviews.

• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required pre-employment checks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work on site across multiple shifts.

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.

• to 4 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Working knowledge of federal and state employment law.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with hourly workforce recruiting and high-volume hiring.

• Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and safety compliance.

• Prior experience in union or non-union production environments.

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

• Bilingual English and Spanish.
