HVAC Truck Based Mechanic Foreman Technical Team Lead
Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings. In this field leadership role, you will help customers keep HVAC systems and Building Control Systems operating safely, reliably, and efficiently while supporting a strong culture of service and teamwork.
Role Overview
This truck-based leadership position is ideal for a hands-on HVAC professional who can balance technical service, customer communication, and field coordination. You will lead by example, support technicians in the field, and help deliver quality outcomes at the time of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field activity for truck-based HVAC technicians and support the coordination of work at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC mechanical equipment and Building Control Systems.
- Provide Level 1 technical support and serve as an escalation point for more complex service issues.
- Coach and mentor branch technicians while supporting their technical development in the field.
- Support quoting, estimates, scheduling, service completion, and accurate project and service documentation.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to provide practical solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
- Provide safety leadership and instruction to technicians and subcontractors while ensuring work meets applicable state, local, and federal requirements.
