About the role
We are looking for an experienced IBM i System Administrator with strong expertise in IBM AS/400 administration to manage, maintain, monitor, and support IBM i systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring system availability and stability.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and monitor IBM i (AS/400) systems.
- Perform system configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system security.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve incidents.
- Maintain system documentation and follow operational procedures.
About you
- Minimum 7 years of overall relevant IT experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on IBM AS/400 administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of IBM i operating systems and system operations.
- Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and performance management.
- Knowledge of IBM i security and user access administration.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
