Protect the Nation's Most Critical Systems. Drive Cyber Security Excellence.
Are you a cyber security professional looking to make a direct impact on national security? Join a high-performing team supporting mission-critical government programs where your expertise will help safeguard some of the nation's most sensitive networks, systems, and information assets.
As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will serve as a trusted cyber security advisor, working alongside government stakeholders, engineers, and mission partners to architect, assess, and strengthen enterprise security solutions. This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, lead RMF efforts, and help ensure compliance across complex, evolving environments.
If you're passionate about cyber defense, security engineering, risk management, and protecting mission-essential capabilities, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As an ISSE, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls that support mission success. Responsibilities include:
- Provide expert cyber security guidance and technical recommendations to government customers.
- Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of security requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
- Participate in network architecture reviews, security assessments, and testing activities to validate compliance and strengthen security posture.
- Collaborate closely with system administrators, developers, engineers, and program stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into system designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks through the implementation of RMF controls and industry best practices.
- Assess new hardware, software, and technologies, providing actionable recommendations to improve security and operational effectiveness.
- Review and validate System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs), and related cybersecurity documentation.
- Guide system owners through Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities and support successful accreditation efforts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
