Full description
At Sword Technologies, we support our clients in their digital transformation projects by contributing to high value-added missions within demanding environments.
We place particular emphasis on the quality of the assignments we offer, as well as on supporting our employees in their professional development.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a (Senior) Integration Engineer to strengthen our technical teams.
**Mission:
Working within a large international organisation, the consultant will contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of integration services connecting a diverse application ecosystem.
The consultant will build and maintain enterprise integration solutions, including APIs, backend services and reusable integration components. The role covers the full delivery lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through to deployment, monitoring and production support.
A key part of the assignment will involve designing integration flows that enable applications to exchange information reliably and securely. This includes applying appropriate orchestration, transformation, routing and protocol mediation mechanisms, while ensuring that the proposed solutions comply with architectural and technical standards.
The consultant will develop REST APIs, SOAP Web Services and integration services using Java, Spring Boot and Apache Camel or a comparable enterprise integration framework. The role also includes contributing to API lifecycle activities such as design, publication, version management, monitoring and controlled retirement.
From an architecture perspective, the consultant will help define reusable integration patterns and development practices suited to distributed and microservices-based environments. Particular attention will be given to the security, scalability, availability, performance and maintainability of the delivered services.
The consultant will also participate in the modernisation of the integration landscape, helping teams move towards more automated, cloud-oriented and maintainable solutions. This will involve working with Microsoft Azure, applying Infrastructure as Code principles and contributing to automated build, testing and deployment processes.
On the operational side, the consultant will monitor the health and performance of integration services and support their operation across multiple environments. He or she will investigate connectivity problems, failed message exchanges, service degradation and production incidents, carrying out root cause analysis and helping implement corrective and preventive measures.
