In Places, we don’t sit back and let things happen, we make things happen, and we do this in service to all Apple employees and customers. Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages Apple’s corporate and retail workplaces and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world.
The Critical Facilities Electrical team is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems and critical infrastructure across Apple's NorCal Places portfolio. Our preventive program emphasizes early detection, root-cause analysis, and condition-based maintenance to keep mission-critical equipment running. We partner closely with engineering, operations, and capital projects to protect the people and work that depend on our electrical systems.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven IR Scanning Electrician to join our team as the dedicated thermographer responsible for infrared inspections of electrical equipment across Apple's NorCal campuses. This role is essential to identifying anomalies before they become failures and to advancing our shift from reactive repair to predictive, condition-based maintenance.
The IR Scanning Electrician will perform infrared thermographic surveys on switchgear, panelboards, transformers, motor control centers, and distribution equipment across Apple's NorCal campuses. They will document findings, prioritize remediation in partnership with the electrical operations team, and contribute to the Critical Facilities Electrical team's predictive maintenance program. The role reports to the Electrical Manager.
