The IT Business Partner acts as the primary liaison between Group Technology (GT) and the Back Office Business Units at Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB). This role functions as a dedicated account manager responsible for aligning technology strategy with business objectives, driving operational innovation, and ensuring the delivery of technology solutions that enable business growth and backend efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact and trusted technology advisor for the Back Office Business Units
- Translate business objectives into actionable, business-specific technology roadmaps aimed at enhancing operational efficiency
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions align with bank standards, and oversee technology capacity planning to meet current and future business demands
- Collaborate with HR on resource planning, career mobility, and talent development for the technology team supporting the business
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of technology leadership experience within the Financial Services Industry (FSI) or closely related sectors
- Strong understanding of FSI products, back-office operations, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
- Experience managing large-scale technology projects, budgets, vendors, and contract negotiations
- Solid grasp of technology governance and risk management frameworks
- Ability to effectively translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
