IT Support Engineer

Our Mission

Healthie is an AI-Native, ONC Certified EHR for modern outpatient healthcare.

Healthie is proud to power clinically excellent healthcare for over 40,000 providers who deliver clinically excellent healthcare - longitudinal and collaboratively, with patient and provider experiences at the center. Both healthcare and technology are undergoing unparalleled industry innovation, and it’s incredible to see the momentum - from consumers, from providers, and from reimbursement for this type of healthcare - grow exponentially.

We provide the powerful infrastructure every care delivery organization needs. On the surface this includes EHR, Scheduling, Engagement, Billing, Data, and much more. Underneath the iceberg are thousands of configurations, settings, widgets, automations, and limitless capabilities because we are an API-first platform. Our fully brandable platform makes it easy for clinics and organizations of any size to scale and never reach a limit.

Today, over 3 billion API calls are made to Healthie every month, as thousands of organizations who work with more than 21 million patients in total, rely on Healthie to deliver clinically excellent healthcare in over 35 specialties, from behavioral healthcare to complex chronic care management and personalized medicine.

We believe in the power of technology to improve access to healthcare and we’re building the rails that make this a reality. We work fast and with quality because we provide business-critical, healthcare-critical software that clinicians and patients need for a better healthcare system. We’re customer-obsessed, operate with lightning-fast processes and responses, and always share our product roadmap publicly- so customers can see what we’re building, and remain relentlessly focused on how care gets delivered.

Healthie is backed by leading investors, and while we've $42M raised to date, more importantly, we operate with fiscal responsibility and have been profitable for more than half of our time as a company. We know that building an ONC-Certified EHR is a lifetime’s body of work, and we are here to build for our customers forever.

About the role

We are hiring Healthie's first IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT team. This is a hands-on, hybrid role based out of our NYC office, where you'll be the on-site IT presence keeping our team productive and our infrastructure running smoothly.

This role is intentionally split: roughly 60% engineering work and 40% ticket-based support. On the engineering side, you'll contribute to automation, identity and access management, endpoint fleet management, and security and compliance tooling. On the support side, you'll be the first point of contact for all IT-related questions and issues across the company.

You'll work closely with our Director of IT and play a key role in building out repeatable, scalable IT processes as Healthie continues to grow. If you love owning things end-to-end, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and care deeply about keeping people and systems secure, this role is for you.

What a week would look like:

Monday starts with the IT Support mailbox queue and reviewing our IT Slack channel. A few MacBooks need to be provisioned and shipped out to new hires, a team member has a login issue, and a monitor in the office isn't displaying when a laptop is connected. You clear what you can remotely, then head in to handle the rest in person.

As the queue settles, you shift to the engineering side. A Mosyle (MDM) config profile needs updating, a new tool needs SSO configured, or you’re chipping away at an automation script that cuts 20 minutes off the new hire setup.

Mid-week you're in a Zoom Room troubleshooting why the iPad controller stopped communicating to the Mac Mini. A new UniFi update with security settings is ready to be installed. This will require the WiFi to go down for a couple of minutes. For this, you consult with the Director of IT. Friday someone flags a phishing email. You review the headers, investigate in Google Workspace, and proactively pull it from inboxes.

Audit season comes around, which heavily involves IT to assist Security & Compliance. When HITRUST evidence requests land, that becomes the priority from pulling exports of our assets in Mosyle to confirming device enrollment. Making sure what we've documented matches what's actually deployed.

You'll have access to systems that touch every team member at Healthie and data entrusted to us by our customers and their clients. That means following access rules exactly and setting a standard that others can look at and replicate.

This role is right for someone who is curious, driven to keep learning, excited about technology and healthcare, communicates clearly with anyone in the room, and finds creative ways to solve problems.

About you

• You have 1–3 years of experience in an internal IT or IT support role, ideally at a technology or healthcare company. What matters most is curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a track record of taking ownership.

• Apple-First: You are comfortable configuring, troubleshooting, and managing a macOS-only fleet. Experience with Mosyle or another MDM is a strong plus.

• Identity & Access: You understand Google Workspace administration, SSO/SAML, MFA, and the basics of identity lifecycle management.

• Support-Oriented: You've worked with ticketing systems and know how to prioritize, communicate, and close issues with a user-first mindset.

• Engineering Mindset: You're not just a break/fix person. You look for ways to automate, script, and systematize.

• Office Tech Savvy: You're comfortable working in a physical office environment and can troubleshoot AV, network, and facilities tech on-site.

• Exceptional Communicator: You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates.

• Values-Driven: You embody Healthie's values of Respect, Reliability, and Resilience in everything you do, and bring a spirit of collaboration and trust to the team.

• AI-Enabled: You actively leverage AI-powered tools to work smarter and faster, and are excited to help others do the same.
