Full description
Reports to: IT Support Manager · Type: Full-time, hourly · Pay: $30–$35/hour · Travel: ~25%, mileage and travel expenses covered · On-call: Weekend rotation, as needed
The role
GO Car Wash is one of the fastest-growing car wash operators in the U.S., with locations coast to coast. As an IT Field Technician, you keep the washes in your market running. You are the hands-on owner of site technology (POS, tunnel controllers, network, digital menu boards, and security and LPR cameras) and the Tier 2/3 escalation point when site teams and OEM vendors can't resolve an issue.
What you'll do
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for car wash POS and tunnel control software and hardware: pay stations, manager station PCs, site servers, and controllers.
- Respond on site to site-down events and restore operations fast. Work with OEM vendors on warranty and repairs, and track case numbers and parts to closure.
- Mount, terminate, and configure IP security and license plate recognition (LPR) cameras and bring them onto the site network.
- Troubleshoot cabling, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and ISP connectivity.
- Install and support digital menu boards: displays, media players, and network connectivity. Confirm current pricing and promotions display correctly after changes.
- Perform preventive maintenance visits and proactive hardware replacement. Support new site openings, remodels, and technology rollouts.
- Support site Windows PCs, tablets, mobile devices, and Microsoft 365 users.
- Document every job: close work orders with the condition, cause, and correction, and keep site configurations and equipment inventory current.
- Contribute market IT updates for monthly business reviews. Flag recurring issues and training gaps, and help write SOPs and train site teams on first-line troubleshooting.
- Assist the IT Support Manager with price changes, promotions, and code setup as needed.
- Take part in the weekend on-call rotation as needed.
