Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following coding standards and best practices.

• Work with Hibernate, JPA, and Spring MVC for data access and application development.

• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with applications built using Angular, React, or JavaScript.

• Develop and optimize applications using MongoDB, Cassandra, or other NoSQL databases.

• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Git.

• Work closely with product owners, QA teams, and architects in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills :

• Strong experience in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

• Solid understanding of Core Java concepts including Collections, Strings, Interfaces, Exception Handling, Annotations, Lambda Expressions, and Stream API.

• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, and RESTful web services.

• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, or React.

• Experience working with MongoDB, Cassandra, or other NoSQL databases.

• Good understanding of Microservices architecture, API design, and deployment strategies.

• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Bamboo.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with Oracle SQL and Stored Procedures.

• Knowledge of cloud-based application architecture and design patterns.

• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis, Ehcache, or similar.

• Familiarity with Service Mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).

• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
