We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Java Developer to join us in Brussels and take part in large-scale, impactful digital projects for one of our premium clients. 🏆
Position Overview
- Status: Freelance (Independent / Prestation de services)
- Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid model: 2-3 days remote per week)
- Seniority Level: Medior (3+ years) to Senior (10+ years)
- Languages: Professional proficiency in either Dutch or French OR English
Your Mission & Responsibilities
As a Freelance Java Developer, you will be integrated into a dynamic environment to design, develop, and maintain robust enterprise applications. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing high-quality software solutions using Java / Java EE technologies.
- Implementing and managing API and Web Services standards (OAuth2, OpenAPI, SOAP) and working within SOA / REST models.
- Translating business requirements into technical designs utilizing UML and BPMN.
- Collaborating within an Agile/Scrum methodology, while aligning with corporate governance frameworks (ITIL, PMBOK/PRINCE2).
- Contributing to architectural discussions and evolution using modern architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Archi, Sparx).
- Ensuring code quality, version control, and seamless integration using GIT and client frameworks (Axis 2, CXF, .Net compatibility).
