The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Software Engineer to join a software engineering team delivering technology solutions for a UK public safety and law enforcement programme. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that support public safety, working with modern technologies and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
As a Custom Software Engineer, you'll combine hands-on development with technical leadership, helping shape software solutions, guide team decisions and deliver high-quality, scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance full-stack software solutions using Java and modern development frameworks.
- Build and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot, Angular/React AND AWS ensuring performance, scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and deliver business requirements.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to decisions across teams and help resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
