Java Solution Architect | Contract 8 month | Federal Government ClientLocation: Brisbane, QLD
Seers Digital is seeking a Full Time Java Solution Architect to support a federal government client based in Brisbane North.
What you’ll do
- Lead application modernisation and framework upgrade initiatives.
- Define technical architecture, design standards, and target technology platforms.
- Provide hands-on leadership across design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Drive code quality, governance, and release management activities.
- Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
- Lead platform upgrades and integration design using RESTful services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on technical roadmaps and delivery strategies.
- Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate code migration processes.
What you’ll bring
- 10 + years of Java development experience
- Experience with: Spring Core, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Web Flow and Hibernate
- Experience performing framework and platform upgrades
- Understand of: OpenRewrite, REST API, integration, Maven and/or Gradle, Apache Tomcat, JSP technologies, software architecture and design patterns
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation practices
- Ability to lead development team and provide technical mentorship
- Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills
