Do you want to be at the forefront of CoP’s emerging cloud practice? We are seeking a junior engineer to support and expand our Cloud computing environment that has already provided great value to the City of Philadelphia by enabling modernization and optimization strategies. An ideal candidate is expected to operate independently, have a results-oriented mindset, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. A Cloud Engineer must possess strong interpersonal skills and regularly work with IT leaders and engineers in other departments.
This is primarily a cloud administration position focused on a hybrid cloud/on-premises environment across AWS GovCloud and Standard (Commercial) Cloud organizations. An ideal candidate will have a background in AWS, either professionally or managing their own accounts, and a solid basis in programming skills (ideally, Python). Although there is overlap with the skills and competencies associated with a DevOps role, this is not a DevOps role.
