About the role
Stampede Solution is seeking an L2 IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to take on a more strategic role in supporting and managing our critical IT infrastructure systems. As an L2 IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will bridge the gap between front-line support and senior infrastructure teams, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to the stability and performance of our organisation's technology systems. This role is essential to ensuring our infrastructure operates efficiently and securely across multiple platforms and environments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support for IT infrastructure issues, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems and virtualisation platforms
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure systems to ensure optimal performance, availability and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues escalated from first-line support teams
- Perform system upgrades, patches and maintenance activities with minimal downtime
- Configure, deploy and manage servers, network devices and infrastructure components
- Assist in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions and improvements
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures and resolutions for knowledge management
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation projects
