About us
Docplanner's mission is to help people live longer, healthier lives. Every month about 100 million people visit our sites and 25 million appointments are booked across 13 countries, and 300,000 doctors use our software ().
You'll join PMS Global, the group building the software clinics and doctors run on. We're building Noa, our AI assistant, into the daily work of doctors and front desks. The group is organised in verticals named after the people they serve: the doctor running a visit, the owner running the business, the practice signing up on its own.
The design team here is small and growing. As its Lead designer, you'll set the standard others work to and help the team grow.
The role
You'll own the design of an area of our practice management software (PMS), the tools clinics use every day to run visits, calendars and the business. You'll set design direction across the teams in that area and shape how it fits with the rest of the product. You'll help decide whether something is worth building, and why, before anyone decides how. This is an individual contributor role.
We want clinics to spend less time on manual work, from documenting a visit to getting it invoiced and paid, and owners to see what needs their attention without digging through reports.
What success looks like
- After 3 months: you've been shipping since your first weeks, you can name the outcomes your area should move and the user behaviours behind them (where clinic staff lose time, work around the product or drop off), and you and product agree on the bigger problems worth solving. Clinics already feel it: your first fixes save front desks and doctors time on everyday tasks.
- After 6 months: your first larger build is live with its impact measured, you're setting design direction across teams, and other designers are building on your patterns. For clinics this means less manual admin and fewer workarounds; for doctors, more time with patients and less time on the screen; for owners, a clearer view of how the practice is doing.
What you'll do
- Discover continuously: talk to doctors, clinic owners and staff often, whatever project you're on.
- Identify and solve bottlenecks: with product and engineering, find the friction points in the user journey and in how the team works, and fix them.
- Drive clarity from complexity: balance user and business needs in areas like billing, records and reporting, and turn ambiguous problems into clear, strategic solutions.
- Start with an LLM: use AI to clarify intent, draft short specs and surface risks and edge cases before opening a design tool.
