Job description

We are recruiting a librarian available for immediate start, due to the success of our school and our continued growth here at GEMS Founders School – Dubai South.

Through engaging lessons, collaborative projects and meaningful real-world experiences, children are encouraged to develop a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Our primary school gives every child the opportunity to thrive and build the skills they need for the future. Our children thrive because they are taught and supported by passionate teachers, a welcoming school community and strong partnerships with families. We want you to be one of those teachers.

About us

GEMS Founders School – Dubai South is one of the newest additions to the successful GEMS Founders family of schools. We opened our doors in 2024 as a British curriculum school delivering the National Curriculum for England. We are an all-through school offering education from Foundation Stage through Key Stage 4 but are growing year-on-year towards becoming a full FS1–Year 13. As a growing school community, this is an exciting opportunity for you as a teacher to join us at an early stage. As one of our first teachers you will play a key role in shaping the culture, curriculum and future success of our school in the southern area of Dubai. We are close to the new rapid red line Metro via our local Expo City station that links you with all the beachfront and central Dubai malls and the old town. Sustainability, innovation and student wellbeing are central to the school’s vision of helping every student “Grow, Flourish, Discover You.”

Dubai South is one of Dubai’s fastest-growing communities, located next to the new airport hub here that opens in 2032. All operations at the current Dubai International Airport (DXB) will move to this new mega-hub. GEMS Founders School – Dubai South, therefore, offers a modern, purpose-built campus with outstanding facilities designed to support academic, creative, physical and sporting development. The school provides a forward-thinking learning environment. Linked to the aims of the new airport we have a distinctive focus on aviation, aerospace, logistics and enterprise and look to prepare students with the skills and experiences needed for the future.

GEMS Founders School – Dubai South is BSO accredited. This reflects our commitment to deliver high-quality British education and maintain internationally recognized standards. If you are one of the teachers who join us here at GEMS Founders School – Dubai South you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new school, while benefiting from the professional development, career progression and global opportunities available through the GEMS Founders family and GEMS Education.

GEMS Education is one of the world’s leading private education providers, offering teachers the opportunity to build a rewarding international career within a global network of schools.
