Machinist (3rd Shift) - Tool & Die

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machinist (3rd Shift) - Tool & Die to join our team in Reno, NV! The hourly rate for this position is $34.20 plus $1 shift differential per hour.

The core hours are 10PM - 6:30AM

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s B-Line division is currently seeking a Machinist to join our 2nd shift team in Tool and Die. This position is based at our Reno, NV.

• Able to determine and assess damage to existing tooling and what steps necessary to repair tooling.
• Able to determine if Die is dull or cracked and needs to be resharpened or repaired.
• Able to determine if the poor quality of a product is the result of a tooling problem, or a setup problem.
• Able to Perform Die Changeovers for different products.
• Read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measure for checking dimensions.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualification:

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years machining experience and skilled in the operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in an industrial environment or similar environment
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for checking dimensions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
