MADCAP - Test Automation Engineer

Since 1978, Jade Software Corporation has been building technology that solves complex, real-world problems. Today, our software supports organisations across more than 25 industries and 70 countries, helping them combat financial crime, manage global dairy supply chains, and run critical business operations that simply cannot fail.

Our portfolio includes ThirdEye, a leading financial crime prevention platform, MADCAP, a globally recognised dairy supply chain solution, and high-performance enterprise software built for customers operating at scale. At the centre of it all is the Jade Platform, our own development and runtime environment that powers both our own products and those of organisations around the world.

Jade is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. We're investing in our products, our platforms, our people, and the way we serve customers globally. As we continue to modernise and grow our MADCAP product portfolio, test automation and quality engineering are key to delivering exceptional customer outcomes, supporting innovation and enabling confident, sustainable growth.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an automation-focused quality professional or software developer who enjoys building robust testing solutions. You'll play a key role in improving product quality through automated testing, working closely with developers, product managers and technical leads to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

You'll help shape our automation capability, contribute to modern engineering practices, and ensure our products continue to deliver exceptional experiences for customers across New Zealand and international markets.

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and automated test suites across mobile, web, API and backend systems.

• Build automated regression, integration and end-to-end tests that support reliable and efficient software delivery.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify quality risks, improve test coverage and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to quality engineering best practices across the MADCAP product team.

• Investigate defects, analyse test failures and provide actionable insights to support high-quality product releases.

• Monitor and report on automation effectiveness, test coverage and overall product quality.

About You

You're passionate about software quality and enjoy solving technical challenges through automation. You have a strong understanding of software development practices and are comfortable working alongside developers in a collaborative, agile environment.

Whether your background is in test automation or software development, you're someone who takes ownership, values continuous improvement and enjoys building solutions that make a real impact for customers.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience developing and maintaining automated tests within a software development environment.

• Strong technical skills in C#, .NET and modern test automation frameworks.

• Experience testing web applications, APIs and ideally mobile applications.

• Knowledge of Agile development practices and modern software delivery approaches.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps and automated quality assurance practices would be highly regarded.

• A passion for continuous learning and improving the way software is built, tested and delivered.
