ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: Seed Company is committed to Bible translation through national translators in creative partnerships. Seed Company seeks to work where it is evident that God is working and where the uniqueness of its vision makes it most feasible for Seed Company to be involved.
VISION: God’s Word transforming lives in every language in this generation.
MISSION: To accelerate Scripture translation and impact for people without God’s Word through Great Commission partnerships.
VALUES: Honoring God in all we do, valuing individuals and relationships, partnering effectively, encouraging creativity and innovation, and managing for quality results.
SCOPE: The Manager, Digital Scripture Data manages Seed Company’s submission of approved Scripture materials to the Digital Bible Library (DBL) and the language data that supports those submissions and related translation and publication work. The role coordinates the preparation, validation, and submission of Scripture text, audio, and video; ensures the accuracy of associated language, project, contributor, rights, and milestone data; and maintains consistency across the DBL, Paratext Registry, Progress Bible, ETEN, and internal systems. Working with Field Operations teams and partner organizations, the manager resolves data and submission issues, tracks progress toward organizational goals, and provides reliable information for planning, reporting, and decision-making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: DBL Submission Management
- Coordinate the preparation, validation, approval, and submission of consultant-approved Scripture text, audio, and video to the DBL.
- Ensure files, metadata, permissions, rights, contributor information, and organizational attribution are complete, accurate, and compliant with DBL and Paratext Registry requirements.
- Partner with Field Operations teams and external organizations to identify eligible materials, obtain missing information, resolve submission issues, and verify completed uploads.
- Track submission status, forecasts, risks, All Access Goal progress, and associated SC points; provide timely reporting to relevant teams and leadership.
Language Data Management
- Maintain accurate language information—including names, ISO and language-variety codes, population data, alternate names, and project milestones—to support DBL submissions and Seed Company’s translation and publication work.
- Validate and reconcile language and project information across internal systems, the DBL, Paratext Registry, Progress Bible, and ETEN.
- Research and resolve missing, duplicate, conflicting, or outdated language records in collaboration with Field Operations teams and partner organizations.
