About the Role
At Trackonomy, we believe the future belongs to organizations that can see, understand, and act on what's happening in the physical world—in real time.
Manager, Innovation Services at Trackonomy (San Jose) — aijobsearch
Our Innovation Services Managers make that vision a reality.
This is a highly customer-facing role that sits at the intersection of operations, technology, product innovation, and customer success. You'll work directly with some of the world's largest logistics, healthcare, airline, and government organizations to solve complex operational challenges using Trackonomy's connected intelligence platform.
Customers rarely come to us asking for a specific product. They come with difficult business problems:
How do we eliminate misloads?
How do we reduce lost assets?
How do we automate manual processes?
How do we gain real-time visibility across our operations?
How do we make better operational decisions using live data?
Your job is to transform those questions into solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Every deployment is different. Every customer is different. You'll immerse yourself in customer operations, understand how work gets done today, and help design a better way using Trackonomy's technology.
This isn't traditional implementation. It's operational innovation.
What You'll Do
Innovation Services Managers partner closely with customers throughout their transformation journey—from discovery through deployment, adoption, and expansion.
You'll:
Work alongside customer operators, technical teams, and executives to understand operational challenges and uncover opportunities for transformation.
Translate customer workflows into clear technical requirements for Trackonomy's engineering and product teams.
Configure, validate, and deploy Trackonomy solutions in real-world environments.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and recommend improvements.
Design user workflows, dashboards, and operational processes that help customers make faster, better decisions.
Partner with software, hardware, firmware, AI, and manufacturing teams to bring new capabilities into production.
Lead pilot programs, production rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Train customer teams, gather feedback, and rapidly iterate to improve adoption and business value.
Present results, recommendations, and future opportunities to everyone from warehouse operators to executive leadership.
Help shape future Trackonomy products by bringing customer insights directly into product development.
Identify opportunities to expand successful deployments into broader customer programs.
What Makes This Role Different
No two Innovation Services Managers look exactly alike.
Some enjoy diving into data.
Others thrive leading customer workshops.
Some love technical troubleshooting.
Others excel at designing new operational processes.
All share one common trait:
They love solving problems that don't have playbooks.
This role is ideal for people who enjoy working in ambiguous environments where success comes from curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and the ability to learn quickly.
What We're Looking For
We value aptitude and potential over years of experience.
Ideal candidates will have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related technical field.
3-5 years of experience in consulting, solutions engineering, technical implementation, professional services, or software engineering.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to break complex operational problems into practical solutions.
Technical curiosity with experience in SQL, Python, APIs, scripting, or data analysis.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and business leaders.
A collaborative mindset and comfort working across customers, engineering, product, and operations.
Willingness to travel to customer locations throughout North America.
Experience with IoT, supply chain, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, aviation, or industrial operations is a plus—but curiosity and a willingness to learn matter more.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you'll be expected to:
Independently lead customer deployments and pilot programs.
Become a trusted advisor to customer operations and technical teams.
Deliver measurable operational improvements through Trackonomy solutions.
Drive product improvements by bringing real-world customer insights back to engineering.
Build repeatable implementation playbooks that help us scale faster.
Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through demonstrated business value.
Who Thrives Here
The people who succeed at Trackonomy are builders.
They are energized by solving difficult problems, learning new technologies, and creating solutions where none previously existed. They are naturally curious, thrive in ambiguity, and aren't afraid to take on challenges that don't come with a playbook.
This role requires someone who can manage constant context switching—moving seamlessly between customer operations, engineering discussions, product decisions, deployment activities, and executive conversations, often all in the same day. Rather than simply passing information between teams, they synthesize complex inputs, connect the dots, and drive decisions that move projects forward.
The best Innovation Services Managers don't just coordinate work—they figure things out. They take ownership of problems, navigate uncertainty, remove obstacles, and deliver measurable outcomes. They are equally comfortable sitting on a warehouse floor understanding an operator's workflow, collaborating with engineers on a technical solution, and presenting business value to customer leadership.
Above all, they have a strong bias toward action. They don't wait for perfect information or someone else to solve the problem. They take initiative, build trust, and do whatever it takes to help our customers succeed.
