Now Brewing – manager, program management - Facilities Programs! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
Do you thrive on turning data into programs that make operations more reliable? As a manager of program management for Facilities Programs at Starbucks, you will shape how our coffeehouses are maintained and supported across the U.S. portfolio. You will own a portfolio of national maintenance and reliability programs, setting the strategy, standards, and governance that move the business from reactive repair to proactive, planned work.
You will lead a team of program managers responsible for programs that span equipment, hard services, and soft services. Together, you will design preventive maintenance models, remove recurring failures through root cause analysis, guide repair or replace decisions, and prepare new platforms for service before they scale. By partnering across teams, you will deliver measurable savings and better uptime while protecting the Starbucks experience.
As a manager, program management – Facilities Programs, you will…
- Model leadership behaviors that are grounded in Starbucks Mission and Values.
- Drive the engagement, development, and performance of all members of the team.
- Create, own, and govern the multiyear strategy for a portfolio of facilities programs, including goals, budget, initiatives, resource allocation, and savings targets.
- Design and scale preventive and condition-based maintenance programs that reduce reactive demand and improve critical asset uptime.
- Lead root cause analysis and maintenance scope redesign to remove repeat failures at the program level rather than servicing them over and over.
- Build asset strategy using condition, telemetry, and total cost of ownership data to guide repair or replace decisions and capital planning.
- Establish service standards, request classifications, and repair requirements so work is correctly identified, routed, and resolved the first time.
- Lead service readiness for new equipment and programs, making sure service models, spare parts, and technician support are in place before national deployment.
- Own program financials, including savings tracking, benefit validation with Finance, and monthly performance reporting to senior leaders.
- Autonomously drive alignment across multiple senior leaders and influence cross functional partners, including Engineering, Sourcing, Supplier Performance, Operations, and Regional Facilities teams.
- Partner with manufacturers and service providers to test, validate, and deploy reliability improvements across the fleet.
- Negotiate for human, financial, and other resources; work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize projects and programs; and guide project teams to deliver the strategic business vision.
- Create continuous feedback loops with internal customers and business partners to align on priorities, identify gaps, and improve program outcomes.
- Lead and enable others to deliver highly complex, cross functional programs while increasing the team's capacity to deliver.
- Drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
- Use AI tools and build agents that automate workflows, speed up analysis, and improve the quality of program outputs, from savings tracking and root cause insights to business cases and leadership reporting.
