About Lydian Energy
Lydian is an established energy development company specializing in the development and construction of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in North America. Lydian owns 14 assets in development, construction or under operation, consisting of both solar and storage, which reached or are expected to reach FNTP from 2024-2028.
Lydian is backed by Excelsior Energy Capital (“EEC”), a leading private equity fund manager with more than $1.5B in assets under management, that is exclusively focused on north American middle market renewables investing. Lydian’s relationship with EEC provides several critical advantages, including access to (i) a specialized team of value-add investor-operators with decades of renewables development, construction, and transaction experience and (ii) committed discretionary equity capital, strong relationships with debt and tax equity investors, and deep experience structuring tax equity and project financings.
Lydian has built a team of seasoned, passionate energy infrastructure professionals with deep expertise in project development, construction, financing, and M&A. This is an opportunity to join a fully capitalized development platform that is running at full capacity, but still at an early-enough stage for you to have a real impact on company culture and commercial outcomes.
Job Scope
The Manager, Schedule and Cost Control is responsible for the implementation and training of best practices for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting at Lydian Energy. This role is responsible for ensuring open communication and information flow from project teams to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead for schedule and cost control on Lydian’s utility-scale solar and BESS projects in construction, including reviewing EPC contractor baseline schedules, monthly updates and pay applications.
- Ensure all project deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Ensure that all project controls processes are compliant with company procedures and best practices. Develop and implement new processes as needed. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
- Provide timely and accurate project controls reporting and communication to management on the status and key performance indicators of the renewable energy project portfolio throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including preparation, construction, and completion.
- Oversee the project's schedule and cost analysis during the construction phase to ensure accurate progress tracking and reporting. Ensure that the project cost distributions are aligned with the actual project progress.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting team and lead the effort to maintain a cost forecast that aligns current and future payments with all applicable financial arrangements. Ensure that the forecast is accurate and up to date, and that it is communicated to all relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
