The group you’ll be a part of
In the Conductor Etch team at Lam Research, we develop advanced hardware and process solutions that enable the next generation of plasma etch technology. Our work combines deep technical problem solving, process innovation, and close customer collaboration to address some of the semiconductor industry’s most challenging manufacturing requirements.
The impact you’ll make
In this customer-facing process engineering leadership role, you will lead a team responsible for developing and delivering plasma etch solutions that directly impact customer success and business outcomes. You will combine technical leadership, people development, customer engagement, and disciplined execution to move complex engineering projects from development and demonstration toward high-volume manufacturing.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop a team of process engineers responsible for plasma etch process development and customer demonstrations.
- Drive technical execution by establishing project strategies, managing priorities, and adapting plans to achieve technical and business objectives.
- Build strong engineering capability through a mechanistic, data-driven approach to problem solving.
- Partner closely with customers, account teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver timely solutions.
- Ensure process solutions are technically robust and scalable from development through high-volume manufacturing.
- Leverage advanced analytics and AI to accelerate learning, and communicate project status, technical progress, risks, and recommendations to customers and executive audiences.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience. An advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in dry etch process engineering, semiconductor process development, or a closely related field.
- Master’s or PhD preferred.
- Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of plasma etch process development, including key process trade-offs and their impact on device and manufacturing performance.
- Demonstrated track record of solving complex technical problems and delivering solutions on schedule.
