Seeking a data-driven software engineering professional with experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust applications and data-driven solutions that support the Platform Health Program. This role will build scalable software, data pipelines, analytics, and reporting capabilities that improve portfolio transparency, operational efficiency, data quality, and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is based in New York and brings a combination of software development, data engineering, analytics, and technology portfolio experience, with the ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions and collaborate effectively across Technology, Product, Finance, and Portfolio Management teams.
- Software Development & Architecture: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and data-driven solutions using Python or Java, SQL, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
- Front-End & UI Engineering: Build and optimize user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, and Ant or similar UI libraries to enhance usability and stakeholder engagement.
- Data Pipeline & System Integration: Build and maintain data integrations and ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python DB-API/Pandas or JDBC, and APIs to consolidate large technology and financial datasets across Oracle, IBM platforms, SQL Server, and Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Platform Health Analytics & Automation: Develop solutions that support Platform Health classification, portfolio reporting, data-quality validation, and workflow automation, including AI- and machine-learning-assisted capabilities where appropriate.
- Portfolio Performance & Analytics: Analyze technology portfolio data across investments, budgets, resource allocations, delivery, and operational health to identify trends, variances, risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Code Quality & DevOps: Perform code reviews, performance tuning, unit and integration testing using JUnit or Pytest, and deployment management using GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines across Windows, Unix, and cloud platforms.
- BI & Executive Reporting: Develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, and produce clear technical and performance insights for leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technology, Product, Finance, and Portfolio teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, manage project tracking through Jira or Bugzilla, and continuously improve platform capabilities.
- Strong programming and software-development experience with hands-on proficiency in Python or Java, SQL, Python DB-API or JDBC, ETL/ELT, REST APIs, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, and large-scale data analysis.
