Full description
LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions.
If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.
Role Purpose
You will make sure athletes, spectators and the Games workforce receive safe, dependable medical care at LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues. Working with Event Venue Management, local emergency medical services and hospital partners, you will turn strategic medical plans into practical venue operations, from medical stations and supplies to emergency response. In the years leading up to the Games, you will establish these operations from the ground up, then lead them through test events and Games time with integrity and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
· Turn strategic medical plans into venue run sheets, layouts, and timelines for competition and non-competition sites.
· Act as primary liaison to Event Venue Management, integrating International Federation guidelines and NOC/NPC medical requirements.
· Run daily medical services, from athlete medical rooms and spectator first aid to field-of-play response and supplies.
· Coordinate emergency response with local EMS, hospitals, and public safety partners, and help draft emergency action plans.
· Keep venues compliant with IOC/IPC medical codes and support adoption of the Games Electronic Medical Record system.
Required Competencies
· 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, emergency medical planning, clinical services management, or venue-based event operations.

· Demonstrated operational problem-solving, team coordination, and detail-oriented project management skills, with sound judgment under competing priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with clinical tracking or EMR systems.
· Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field; or 5 years of equivalent experience in healthcare operations or venue medical services.
Valued Experience
· Major multi-sport or championship event experience.
· Experience in sports or live event environments.
· Familiarity with Southern California healthcare networks, EMS jurisdictions, and disaster preparedness frameworks.
· Master's degree in sports medicine or a related field; or 5 years of equivalent experience in sports medicine, preferred.
