Introduction:
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented student to help plan our upcoming events and make our event programs easier to scale. Our Events team plans and runs the trade shows, customer events, and corporate events that bring us together with retailers, partners, and customers. You'll source venues, shape how we budget across events, support day-to-day logistics, and own projects that our attendees, Sales team, and Channel partners will use directly.
What You’ll Work On:
- Venue sourcing: Research venues for upcoming events, request proposals, and compare options on location, capacity, cost, and contract terms.
- Event budgeting: Help develop a budgeting approach across different events and track spending against budget.
- Planning and logistics: Support the events team with day-to-day event tactics including timelines, deliverables, registrations, staffing schedules, run-of-show documents, and onsite support where needed.
- Post-event reporting: Compile attendance, leads captured, survey feedback, and spend versus budget, and help prepare recap reports for manager review.
- Auditing existing materials: Review existing communication materials, gather feedback from attendees and event staff, and help deliver reusable resources that can be scaled across trade shows, customer events, and corporate events.
- Event resources and toolkits: Help develop self-service resources, such as checklists, guides, and approved materials, that internal teams and partners can use to support their own events.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to work on-site at our Durham, NC headquarters at least one day per week; two days in-person preferred.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines at once.
