Medical Laboratory Assistant (Hospital) @WEST

Working Hours: 3 shift

Location: WEST

Job Description:

• Receive laboratory specimens (such as whole blood collected in purple-top or red-top blood tubes) and reject those that are unsuitable for processing

• Sort and pack laboratory specimens for couriers/porters at designated send out schedules

• Keep the work area clean, neat, and tidy

• Operate the Laboratory Information System to perform functions such as result query, order entry, packing list for send out, and result entry

• Perform billing-related tasks

• Work closely with the Medical Technologists

• Perform all procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols'

• Comply with good laboratory practice

• Report any adverse incidents to senior member of staff

• Comply with all requirements of the Laboratory Safety Manual

• Promptly carry out the instruction(s) of senior staff regarding work procedures and duties

Requirements:

• Min N/ O /A Level or Nitec in any field

• Relevant work experience in a medical laboratory environment is preferred
