Project Overview

The project involves the development, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications for a large European public institution. The Full-stack Engineer will be responsible for delivering end-to-end software solutions across frontend interfaces, backend services, database systems, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high standards of performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using modern frontend technologies and frameworks.

• Implement backend services, business logic, and RESTful APIs using Java and other relevant backend technologies.

• Design and maintain database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity across relational and NoSQL databases.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

• Develop scalable and reliable application components, ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.

• Perform unit and integration testing, troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and maintain code quality.

• Deploy and manage applications using cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across system components.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and architectural decision records.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Kiro, to accelerate development while validating generated code for correctness, security, performance, and compliance with coding standards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and follow Agile methodologies and established software engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and a minimum 5 years of IT professional experience

• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2

• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with frameworks/libraries including Vaadin 7, Angular, React, Vue, and Bootstrap.
