Middle/Senior Python Engineer
ABOUT US
We are a multi-award-winning team of over 100 engineers, designers, and analysts based in Leicester, with development hubs in Ukraine and Spain. We specialise in bespoke software development, extended teams/staff augmentation, and support as a service.
OUR CLIENT
Our partner is Europe’s leading platform for buying and selling books, CDs, movies, games, and fashion.
The company fosters success by bringing together a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds who collaborate to bring bold ideas to life and find innovative solutions.
We are looking for a pragmatic and business-minded engineer who connects technical decisions with business impact. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements can change, stay calm and solution-oriented when challenges arise, and take ownership rather than waiting for perfect conditions. You communicate constructively, if necessary, directly with stakeholders, and help turn complex business needs into sustainable technical solutions.

- Share your expertise, support knowledge sharing, and improve engineering practices
- Write RFCs for the decisions and maintain Architecture Decision Records

PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of professional experience with Python and FastAPI or Django
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to deliver software efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Proven experience with distributed systems and cloud technologies, preferably GCP
- Passion for testing, clean architecture, and clean code
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency, with strong communication skills for team discussions and code reviews.
