Job Summary
The Mold Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and optimization of molds and related equipment used in the injection molding process. This role ensures that molds are maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime and production interruptions, enhance product quality, and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
A successful Mold Maintenance Technician III must have knowledge of technical drawings, some 2D/3D CAD experience, and is proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment
- Responsible for managing the mold spare parts.
- Maintain mold readiness according to production schedule
- Demonstrated ability to disassemble and reassemble molding tools.
- Clean, maintain and test molding tools and its peripherals for production readiness.
- Experience working with basic measuring tools, e.g., pie tape, micrometers, calibers, pyrometer.
- Support implementation of new injection molding tools and its peripherals.
- Work with vendors to resolve tooling issues.
- Keep mold maintenance area and the entire production environment clean and organized.
