PLC & Commissioning Engineer (Entry Level) - VTAL

Our client is a marine and offshore industry . Due to business needs, they are now recruiting aPLC & Commissioning Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible. (Company Transport Provided) Responsibilities for PLC & Commissioning Engineer:

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including software architecture, logic flow diagrams, test procedures, quality control documents and other relevant supporting materials.
• Develop and programme PLC software and control algorithms for electrical propulsion systems.
• Participate in commissioning projects, providing technical support for vessels with similar configurations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to delivered solutions during vessel commissioning.
• Develop and implement innovative green marine solutions to support the company's business objectives and reduce the marine industry's carbon footprint.
• Take a hands-on role in setting up and establishing the test laboratory to support product development, testing and validation.
• Carry out other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Familiar with PLC
• Knowledge or experience in power electronics, motor drives and marine propulsion systems will be an added advantage.
