Practice Nurse – online part time

Help make healthcare easier and more affordable for Kiwis.

At Tend, we believe good healthcare shouldn't be hard to reach or hard on the wallet. We're a proudly New Zealand-owned healthcare provider, and our dream is to make Aotearoa the healthiest country in the world through smart, accessible and equitable care.

That's why we offer free care for kids under 14, lower fees for Community Services Card holders, free mental health support for everyone aged 16 and over, and 24/7 online care with no enrolment needed. Over 500,000 Kiwis trust us with their health across our network, including The Doctors.

Our nurse-led medical certificate service is a big part of that. People can request a med cert online, and one of our registered nurses calls to check they're okay and don't need further care. The certificate is then emailed to them, usually within hours and without a trip to the clinic.

The role

We're looking for experienced nurses to join this service part-time. You'll make a real difference to people who are unwell and need quick, affordable access to care.

Our shifts range from 2 to 4 hours, and we regularly have options within the following hours:

• Monday: 8am–6pm

• Tuesday to Friday: 8am–9pm

• Saturday: 8am–12pm

• Sunday: 8am–5pm

About you

• You must currently work in a GP clinic in New Zealand and continue to do so

• You have at least 2–3 years of nursing experience

• You want part-time hours that fit around your existing work

• You care about making healthcare more accessible for everyone.

Please note: this role is part-time only.

Why Tend?

We put as much care into our team culture as we do into patient experience. You'll work alongside people who share your passion for better primary care, and you'll help shape how healthcare works for New Zealanders.
