Full description
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Practice Systems Analyst to join our team. The Practice Systems Analyst builds and maintains configuration-level automation, workflow, and self-service infrastructure that lets Legal Engineers and their practice groups act on identified needs without waiting on a full AI Labs build. Within Practice Intelligence, the Practice Systems Analyst partners with the Legal Engineers (Litigation, Transactions, and Intellectual Property) to turn finalized requirements into working solutions and escalates work beyond the department's retained build scope to AI Labs through established intake channels.
This analyst role supports the Legal Engineers rather than working independently with attorneys as a primary function, though the Practice Systems Analyst may interact with attorneys during testing, validation, or self-service rollout.
Practice Intelligence is a newly formed department. The Practice Systems Analyst should expect an evolving scope, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to shape the role and the department's operating model.
Requirements Intake and Build Partnership
- Partner with the Legal Engineers (Litigation, Transactions, and Intellectual Property) to turn first-draft functional requirements into build-ready specifications.
- Determine whether a request falls within the department's retained configuration scope (ServiceNow, Power Automate, SharePoint) or should be transferred to AI Labs, and maintain a clear, documented view of open, in-progress, and escalated build requests across all three practice groups.
Configuration and Build
- Configure and maintain practice-specific workflows, forms, and automations in ServiceNow and Microsoft Power Automate within the department's retained build scope, and customize and maintain SharePoint-based self-service resources for attorneys and practice groups.
- Test configured solutions before release and correct defects identified during validation.
Escalation and AI Labs Liaison
- Package build requests exceeding departmental scope or complexity thresholds for AI Labs through established intake channels, and track the status of escalated requests, communicating updates back to the requesting Legal Engineer.
- Support the Legal Engineers during AI Labs solution design review, user acceptance testing, and validation of delivered tools.
Self-Service Enablement and Documentation
- Develop and maintain practice-specific reference materials, workflow guides, and self-service documentation, and support training, adoption campaigns, and office hours led by the Legal Engineers.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for practice technology configuration questions when the assigned Legal Engineer is unavailable.
