Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced IT professional to join our Derivative Systems team. The incumbent will be responsible for application development, testing, project implementation and production support of mission-critical Derivative Systems.
Job Duties:
- Perform system development and project implementation, including requirement analysis, effort estimation, development, testing and documentation.
- Design, develop and enhance applications using modern technologies.
- Perform system and application testing, defect analysis and verification of fixes.
- Investigate and resolve application defects, production incidents and technical issues.
- Perform quality reviews of software design and code changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams on development, testing, implementation and production issues.
- Participate in rostered production support, including night shifts and public holidays, as part of the overall development and support responsibilities.
- Undertake other assignments and projects as required.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years of application development experience in large-scale systems, preferably in financial services industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in Linux and Java, with knowledge of Python, Perl, SQL and Shell scripting being advantageous.
- Experience in web applications, databases, FIX protocol and REST APIs.
